Armament: 1/Sea Dart SAM system, 1/114mm 55-cal. Vickers DP gun, 2/20mm Phalanx CIWS, 6/324mm ASW torpedoes, 1/Lynx helicopter.

HMS Gloucester shot down an Iraqi Silkworm missile in the Persian Gulf on 25.02.91 with a Sea Dart.  She is the 10th Royal Navy ship to bear the same name.
