Sadhna
Only
the divine can worship the divine The above maxim is the basic principle of sadhna
or spiritual practices
Sadhna is done for the betterment of one's fate to reach a
state of self-satisfaction.
It is devised by the ancient sages to get rid of whatever is obtrusive or not conforming
to
one's expectations and
to achieve a pleasant stage of life. All starts with the external worship but the positive result is not sure
when the suppliant
himself is not sufficiently pure
or
worthy for the kind of merits he wishes to enjoy. Punyas or merits of good actions are the basic qualities
rather than
material requirements for the recipient's worthiness.
Only a total transformation of the self can change the fate
and open the gate
of well-being without leakage or defilement.
Without morality, acquiring all the comfort of the world
by advancing oneself
is not a safe
method of progression
but
a post-dated sure declination. It is only by transforming oneself as a well-wisher of the mass
that one becomes a
worthy benefactor of sadhna
and
can stand the violent or silent wind of the time.
Mere selfishness is always condemned
under the law of nature
to
allow the foundation of global welfare as a divine target.
Thus all the great
fruits of sadhna are not for those
who
are anchored in mere egocentric activities.
One
thing is clear that sadhna is beneficent within the scale of worthiness. All those who want to enjoy the cake without deserving it will surely face digestive problems or insidious catastrophe in the days to come.
Purification is
the first step of sadhna and that is why
achman or inner purification
is practiced prior
to all rites and rituals or religious procedures.
The
rest is just seeking the grace of the divine forces
It
is here that Jesus Christ has rightly suggested the following. Knock , it shall be opened.
And ask, it shall be given.
Mantra yoga
conforms the above and it is a well
defined and complete science
within the various aspects of procedures found in Hinduism.
A wide range of
mantras is available in the spiritual line
to
meet every petition of the devotee.
Sanatan dharma admits that ascetic fire
which dispels all sorts of evil influences.
Offerings bring
spiritual rewards according to their own kinds.
Deities are pleased
when fruits, naivedya or cookies are offered.
Love, affection, compassion, freshness and joyful state of mind
are gained on offering betel leaves and perfumed flowers. Arti or offering of light while merging the soul with the Supreme,
checks dark alleys of rebirths to grace with the divine light. Click on salutation posture to view the next page. |
