    From Chamarel, seasoned hikers can hike the 8 kms track to Black River peak - expect TWO hours uphill to get there. The trail starts opposite the Chamarel Nature Trail.

    With 90 aviaries on 61 acres, it has more than 140 bird varieties.    Quatre Bornes market ( Sunday and Thursday )
    The main attraction is the pink pigeon, one of the world's rarest birds.
