     Walk up the 3 kms tarred road to the top of Signal mountain for a stunned view of the capital

    From Chamarel, seasoned hikers can hike the 8 kms track to Black River peak - expect TWO hours uphill to get there. The trail starts opposite the Chamarel Nature Trail.

    The main attraction is the pink pigeon, one of the world's rarest birds.
