Shrimp in Pea Pods

  • Ingredients

30 shrimp, unshelled
30 pea pods
toothpicks

optional: carrot sticks, lettuce, dipping sauce.


  • Method

Steam the pea pods until tender and limp.

Boil and peel the shrimp, leaving the tails on.

Wrap each shrimp in a pea pod and skewer with a fancy toothpick.


  • Serving Suggestion

Put down a bed of lettuce on a large flat plate and place a bowl of dipping sauce in the middle.

Arrange the shrimp around the edges of the plate, with long thin sticks of carrot interspersed.
