Dbase 3+ is one of the first DBMS that was developed for microcomputers. It was developed in the mid 1980's. It was very popular in these days. Though there are today more popular and advance DBMS packages available such as Microsoft FoxPro, Visual Dbase and Microsoft Access.
It has remained, however, popular in schools where it is one of the main programs students use to make their final exam project.
