A one day conference was scheduled on 28th of October, 2009 at Le Labourdonnais Waterfront Hotel, Port Louis as from 09 00 hours on "Building Partnerships for Online Counselling"
Participants at this meeting werer stakeholders in the field of child protection. The Programme Manager of Child Helpline International - The Netherlands was also present to show the work of child helplines in the world.
The opening ceremony was performed by Hon. Attorney General of Mauritius in the presence of Executive Director of the National Computer Board.
Participants of the conference shared and contributed on how online counselling will be beneficial to their work and how they can get involved in the protection of the Rights of the children. Participants included representatives from Ministries, Police, Tourism Authority, Universities and NGOs
