Western Part Of Mauritius

The West

The "sunset coast," which spans from Port Louis to the private Le Morne Peninsula, boasts some of the island's most diversified and magnificent landscapes, with sheltered sandy beaches and mountain views. With curving roads affording glimpses of secluded white sandy coves and a scattering of Creole towns, this less-developed coastline is probably more exotic than its northern cousin, with the district of Black River/Rivière Noire having the strongest African flavor on the island.
