| These small endemic
shrubs are smooth and glutinous with foliar scars that are very prominent.
Leaves are linearly lanceolate, 3 to 5 cm in length by 0.2 to 0.5 cm in width.
They are pointed at the tip, bear short petioles, are glutinous and resinous
as well. The midvein is very prominent below the leaf surface. Actinodromous
venation pattern is also observed.
The inflorescence ends as terminal corymbs that is 5 cm in length. Short linear bracts and campanulate capitula of 4 to 5 mm in diameter are also found. The involucre bracts occur in series of 3. The external bracts are oblong, brown, herbaceous and between 1 and 1.5 mm in length. The middle-most ones are elliptical, light brown, membranous, have dark brown midveins and scarious margins. The innermost bracts are elliptical in shape. The receptacle is rather flattened and 1 to 1.5 mm in diameter. The externally found flowers are female ones that occur in groups of 12 to 15. The corolla has a filiform tube of 2 to 2.5 mm in length and is obovoid in shape. Male flowers occur in groups of 5 to 7, have a tube-like corolla between 2.5 and 3 mm in length. The ovary is reduced to a nipple-like structure. The achenes are obconic in shape and 1 mm long. A white pappus of 1.5 to 2 mm in length is also present.
