Polyscias gracilis (Bois Boeuf, Bois Papaye).

 

 

 It is a small tree measuring 3 to 4 m in height with branches emanating from the stem, while the smaller branches are 10 to 15 mm in diameter. The leaves are 15 to 30 cm in length and the petiole is 4 to 5 mm long. The foliage leaves have an oblong, oblong-elliptical to oval lamina. The leaves are very asymmetrical and rather rounded at the base. the midvein is very prominent on the lower leaf surface.

  The paniculate inflorescence may be 15 to 22 cm in length and is composed of umbels. The length of the peduncle is between 1.3-to 5 cm. The receptacle may be ellipsoidal and the calyx is represented by an undulated margin.

  The petals occur in 5 or 6, while the shape of the fruit can range from spherical to subspherical-ovoidal. The number of styles varies from 5 to 6.
